The Chair Series
When I moved to Cape Cod, I dabbled in antique dealing. I was pretty successful. I would to go estate sales and auctions. It was fun and, as a novice, people said I had 'a good eye'. This lead me to discover that I loved old chairs and I had a collection of them in my barn's hayloft. They have such character.

Everywoman
Everywoman
This series of paintings is about stories of the lives of women. Some are women I know, women I've heard about, other stories are my own. Theirs are lives of courage and dignity, both simple and complex. Everything is possible and nothing is easy.
Sometimes everything matters, sometimes only one thing matters, and still other times nothing matters at all.
Our goals are simple, to be kind, to be brave, to be true. And when we can't, we wrap ourselves in out tattered dignity and carry on.
These women can be any of us. All broken hearts are the same heart. All lost souls are the same soul. In saving you, I save myself.
